Into the appliance
A module is an assembly of its own, with its own CPLD and its VPD EEPROM, both read on the coprocessor; the coprocessor's platform tool folds its template into the board's at every boot, and that is where the drivers read its ports from.

As the vendor's datasheet lists the modules for each appliance's bays; the state is this project's, with it in that appliance.

The vendor's datasheet calls it High-density module (NIC): 12 port GE copper + 4 port 2.5 GE copper.
