Forms
Every form the project's repositories have on GitHub, one link each. Nothing a form asks for is private: leave out addresses, MAC addresses and serial numbers. A problem on an appliance can also go from the appliance itself, with no GitHub account: XGS: Problem Reports files it, cleaned of all three.
os-xgs-npu
The drivers, the XGS pages and the coprocessor.
| form | for |
|---|---|
| Something does not work | A driver, a page, an update or a boot that does not do what it should. |
| My appliance, and what works on it | An XGS running os-xgs-npu - which model, and what works and what does not. It becomes a row of the compatibility list. |
| A measurement or a hardware finding | A figure you took, or something about a board, a module or a chip that the pages do not say. |
| An idea or a request | Something the drivers or the pages could do, or another appliance they could support. |
| A pull request | A change. Its template asks for the appliance, the version and the commit that ran - how one is reviewed. |
| A security vulnerability | Privately, never in an issue; SECURITY.md says what to include. |
| A question | How to do something, or whether an appliance could work. |
The plugins and the image builder
Each has its own forms, and a pull request opened there is reviewed the same way.
Arabic
A plugin's pull request may come without the Arabic of its page strings, from a contributor who does not write it: the string shows in English until its Arabic is added in opnsense-arabic. Strings waiting for Arabic lists every one still waiting, and a wrong or missing translation is the form for one that reads wrong.
Anything else: write to the project.
