Who runs this site

npuforge.org is the site of os-xgs-npu and the plugins around it, an open-source project of Abdelmonem Awad, run privately and without any commercial purpose: nothing is sold here and there is no advertising. Contact: contact@npuforge.org; a vulnerability, privately, as the security policy says.

Your appliance, your decision

No warranty

The software is provided as is, without a warranty of any kind, as its licence says in full. Installing another operating system on an appliance replaces the vendor's, may end the vendor's support for it, and can leave it unable to start until it is recovered. No one else is answerable for what it does to your hardware, your network or your data: if you load it, that decision and its consequences are yours. Try a release on an appliance you can reach before you trust it with a network you depend on.

The measurements on this site were taken on the appliances named on each page, in the conditions each page describes. They say what happened there, not what any other appliance or network will do.

  • The software and its documentation: the BSD-2-Clause licence, and each plugin's under its own repository's.
  • The photographs and screenshots: CC BY 4.0 - use them freely, naming the author and linking to the project. Each carries that notice in a strip below the picture.
  • The type: IBM Plex, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • The site's framework: Material for MkDocs, under the MIT licence.

What was read, and what is not here

The protocol the drivers speak was recovered from Marvell's GPL-2.0-only sources, published by Sophos in its SFOS_OSS release, and from the binaries the appliance ships. No vendor code is included or redistributed. Facts - offsets, command numbers, field widths - are transcribed; expression is not copied. Where the knowledge came from sets out what was read, from where, which sentences are quoted and why, and what is deliberately absent.
